RFQ · Engineering Intake · Cleveland, OH

Submit a wire specification. Receive an engineering-reviewed quote.

Every Request for Quote is read by one of eleven in-house metallurgists and a dedicated applications engineer before a number is written. We commit to a 14-day standard lead time on custom draws, a 5-day rush floor for qualified programs, and a full PPAP / IMDS / Certificate of Conformance package on every shipment — all stated up front, not negotiated after the fact.

Published lead times, stated before you submit.

Three tiers. No ambiguity. The 5-day floor is contractual, not aspirational, and the documentation timeline runs parallel to manufacturing — not after it.

Lane Lead Time Eligibility Documentation Notes
Standard · Custom Draw L-STD
14 days
from PO release
All custom wire orders. Applies to all 47 stocked alloy families and the Low MOQ prototyping lane (≥ 50 lb). C of C included every shipment. PPAP, IMDS, and mill test reports run in parallel — ready with first article. Measured monthly on a public logistics dashboard; not a marketing slogan.
Qualified Rush L-RUSH
5–9 days
floor: 5 business days
Qualified customers only — accounts in good standing, established alloy history, or pre-agreed master schedule. Same parallel documentation stack. IMDS / PPAP accelerated to first article only. Subject to anneal and plating line availability. Coordinate with the Rush Lane desk before promising a date downstream.
Documentation-Only L-DOC
≤ 3 days
for re-issued packages
Existing shipped orders only. Re-issue of C of C, dimensional report, or mill cert for audit / customer file. Re-issue handled by the documentation desk; no production scheduling impact. Useful for end-of-year customer audits and PPAP re-validations.

05 / Before You Submit

Engineering-side questions, answered before you click Request a Quote.

Procurement and engineering managers ask the same five things before submitting. Here they are, answered with our published policy — not a sales follow-up.

  1. Q.01

How is ITAR-controlled RFQ data handled?

Flag the submission with the ITAR selector on the form. The intake routes to a controlled-data desk, all correspondence is logged in our ITAR-compliant archive, and any plant visit for ITAR work requires citizenship documentation per 22 CFR 120–130. We do not export technical data without an evaluated release.

  2. Q.02

What is the minimum order quantity for a custom wire run?

The Low MOQ program covers custom wire runs starting at 50 lb for prototyping and small-batch R&D work — bridge tooling, pre-PPAP samples, and qualification trials. Production volumes scale to multi-million-pound annual contracts; the same metallurgical team covers both ends.

  3. Q.03

Which certifications and documentation come with each shipment?

ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D govern every line. Certificate of Conformance ships with every order. PPAP, IMDS, mill / spectro test reports, and dimensional inspection reports are produced in parallel to manufacturing — ready with the first article, not queued after it. RoHS compliance is documented across the alloy catalog.

  4. Q.04

What happens after I submit the RFQ?

The submission is routed to a paired metallurgist and applications engineer within one business day. We respond within three business days with a written quote, a confirmed lead time against the published 14-day standard / 5-day rush lane, or a short list of clarifying engineering questions. No quote leaves the desk without a metallurgist's review.
